Those responsible for managing or supervising fire safety would benefit from the NEBOSH Fire Certificate.
Unit FC1 – Fire safety and risk management
Unit FC2 – Practical fire risk assessment
Development of a clear understanding of how to manage the risk of fire in the workplace:
- Fire legislation
- Components of fire
- Fire technology
- Building design
- Fire risk assessment
- Behaviour of people.
The course will also enable delegates to embed best practice, such as introducing fire prevention and protection measures and raising safety awareness among building users or workers.
On completion of each unit, delegates should be able to demonstrate understanding of the domain knowledge covered by:
- The application of knowledge to familar and unfamiliar situations.
- The critical analysis and evaluation of information presented in both quantitative and qualititative forms.
What You Need
Unit NGC1 – management of health and safety. This five-day module is common to the NEBOSH national general certificate in health and safety and must be taken separately. It is beneficial for you to complete NGC1 before you start the fire safety modules and it must be completed within the last five years to gain the qualification.
